Lucas J. Ringheim Memorial Scholarship

The Lucas J. Ringheim Memorial Scholarship fund at Chico State University will provide financial assistance to students who share Lucas' passion for construction project management. While Lucas is no longer physically with us, his spirit and this permanent scholarship fund will continue to leave a lasting impact.

We're excited to announce that due to the generosity of many friends and family, plus Bragg Companies and the Chico CM Education Foundation, the Lucas J. Ringheim Memorial Scholarship is fully endowed as of November 2021. Starting in the Fall of 2022, and continuing in perpetuity, an active Construction Management student in his or her Upper Division classes will be selected through a campus application as the recipient of this scholarship. Lucas’ family and the Department of Construction Management thank you for your continued support in honoring Lucas’ legacy of hard work and his loyalty to Chico State!

About Lucas and the Scholarship

A friend to many, a golfer, a bird hunter, a brother, and a great son to a loving family.

Lucas was a shining star. He was a young man who was ambitious, hardworking, and extremely dedicated to his company. Lucas was a joy to be around. His passion and work ethic were invigorating.

Lucas was inspired by his father, Lance, and family friend turned manager, Gary Fowler, to attended Chico State where he earned his degree in Construction Project Management.

After a brief internship with a general contractor, Lucas knew that he wanted to work for Bragg Companies, an industry leader in construction services. In the beginning of 2018, Bragg Companies accepted him with open arms. Lucas quickly proved to be a valued member of the team. He was eager and a very fast learner. He became someone who was relied upon. Lucas participated in one of Bragg’s most notable jobs, the recently constructed SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, home of the NFL's Rams and Chargers. During this project, Lucas’s dedication was seen by many. He received compliments from their customers, while always having the company’s best interests in mind.  Lucas was truly loved and will be missed by his family, co-workers, and all those whom he befriended.

To celebrate Lucas' life, we've established a scholarship fund in his honor that will continue his legacy for future generations of Chico Wildcats interested in the Construction Management program. Lucas cherished his time at Chico State University, and it's where his passion for construction project management was fostered.

Our goal was to raise $25,000 to create a permanent scholarship fund that dedicates a portion of the annual earnings from the endowment to be used for the scholarship award. This fund will continue to grow in perpetuity so that future Wildcats have the opportunity to gain financial support and follow in the footsteps of Lucas' promising career. We're excited to announce that as of November 2021, we have met our fundraising goals and the scholarship is fully endowed. This would not be possible without the overwhelming amount of love and support from Lucas' friends and family. Thank you.

$28,050 of $25,000!!!
